Sikh24 have just posted an article regarding Nidar trying to recruit followers in Toronto through a guy called Amar Singh – https://www.facebook.com/amar.singh007
Many people talk of warriors, weapons, battle, bravery and martial arts, but very few put their money where their mouth is and campaign and fight and sacrifice for what they beleive in. Anyoen can CLAIM to be a great warrior, especially in the comfort of their semi detached homes living in England with no real threat to your human rights issues to speak of.
It has become a sort of fashion these days to don the garb of warriors, dress up in costume and take impressive pictures of yourself, and its easy to act hard, and show some fancy moves but very few who stand up when it is needed and when it counts. Very few who even stand up and will support their own people due to fear of being reprimanded or branded a dissenter.
This is to those that did and still do – they are the real warriors. I hope to learn martial arts from them, the martial art of Life and how to be righteous and fight for the human rights of all people regardless of their caste colour or creed, even when others will not do so , and even when you most probably will not survive. To be a warrior is not to just know how to wield a sword, but to stand on the path of righteousness even when you will lose everything you have. Being a warrior is fighting the un-winnable fight and conquering this mortal life.
SOORA SO PEYCHANIYEY JO LAREY DEEN KE HETH – PURJA PURJA KAT MAREY KABHOO NA SHADEY KHET
Now I am no warrior, and have never claimed myself to one, but I would say to Nidar(the “lost” Sikh warrior) and his students, who in their ego – think themselves the original warriors, the only ones who know the real truth, the special few who have “THE ART” and the ancient knowledge of weaponry and how “original” Sikhi was.
…that anyone can learn to swing a sword and talk fancy pentra names, but it takes a REAL warrior to stand up to a mighty force, to an entire corrupt empire or government , only a Singh with the roar of the khalsa spirit in their heart could do such a thing. A Giddar could never perform such acts.
The global Sikh Sangat has arisen recently and demand justice for unfair treatment, lack of justice and human rights abuses in India, yet Nidar on his websites continues to insult us and worse of all insults the very people who sacrificed everything for Sikhi.
Further proof is the fact that their own leader of the Budha Dal Baba Surjit Singh languishes in jail and the Nihangs react with the same apathy they displayed during 1984. Why isn’t this great warrior, the last Sikh Warrior campaigning for his General, – Baba Surjit Singh Ji’s release. In all his recent videos he mentions him not even once. What about a collection for their langar.
Other Nihangs from UK have set-up a website informing everyone and collecting money to support Baba Surjeet Singh and provide langar for them while most of the India Nihangs have sold out turned their backs, www.babasurjeetsingh.com
Even as foreigners and world agencies come forward to show their support for the appalling human rights situation in India against minorities, I listen out for the Nidar crew to see if our “Sanatan Warriors” will support our cause…. but they remain eerily silent.
Instead they blast our own freedom fighters as terrorists and they mock the Sikh Sangat for supporting the cases of Professor Bhullar, Bhai Rajoana and the illegal execution of Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra a non-combatant and human rights campaigner, who tirelessly campaigned for justice for victims of 1984 genocide.
What use is a weapon that removes the will to fight?
I see no use for Nidar’s martial art or this type of warrior, give me a common man with a roar in his heart for justice any day of the week, and just like the beautiful Singhs above they will roar like lions.

The truth About “the Last Sikh Warrior”
Nidar claims to be the 9th Gurdev in line to the great “Ranjit Akhara” of the Nihang Singhs which he has also chosen to rename as the ” Hindu-Sikh Akali Nihang Baba Darbara Singh Sanatan Suraj Bansia Shastar Vidiya Shiv Akhara”. In addition to this he also claims to be the last exponent of the art of shastarvidiya. He has also once again changed the name of his Akhara removing the “Hindu-Sikh” moniker and sticking with Snatan Shastarvidiya.
he also claims “He is the sole-surviving master and ninth teacher (gurdev) of a classical school of learning established in 1661” while selling tickets for his seminars.
for reference please view the following articles – Daily Mail , BBC NEWS
and this video where he blatantly says there are no known practitioners of the art
1.Akali Nihang Baba Darbara Singh (who also learned from Akali Nihang Guru Gobind Singh Ji)
2. Akali Nihang Baba Budh Singh Ji
3. Akali Nihang Baba Sukha Singh Ji
4. Akali Nihang Baba Lakha Singh Ji
5. Akali Nihang Baba Sawan Singh ‘Bangroo’
6. Akali Nihang Baba Mangal Singh Ji
7. Akali Nihang Baba Giana Singh aka ‘Rabb Ji’
8. Akali Nihang Baba Mohinder Singh Ji aka ‘Katapa Singh’
9. Nihang Niddar Singh Ji (present ‘Gurdev’)
Now this all sounds great on paper but lets take a closer look at Akali Nihang Baba Giana Singh “Rabb ji”, who is apparently Nidars Dada-Ustad (grandmaster). He never used the words “Snatan” or “Hindu-Sikh” or “Shiv Akhara” as is evident from Baba Giana Singh’s book on Shastarvidiya, which will be released shortly by a researcher in the UK.
We had a researcher visit India and speak to a few living students of the Great Baba Giana Singh. It became evident very quickly that it was a well known fact that Baba Giana Singh taught many people and created many ustads of Shastarvidiya but he never gave “thapi” (appointed) a successor in any way, especially not to Baba Mohinder Singh (Nidar’s supposed Teacher), who was quite removed from the main akhara and a recluse according to Nidars early accounts.
Following are names of students of Baba Giana Singh – Baba Giana Singh, Baba Gurbax Singh, Baba Daya Singh , Baba Gian S, Baba Pritam Singh, Baba Mohinder Singh.
Gurbax Singh, Mohinder Singh, Gian Singh, and Pritam Singh, all learnt from Giana Singh ‘Rab,’ and it is likely they also learnt from Ram Singh and Mohan Singh. Further work is required to verify the various lineages of the masters of Gatka which we are hoping to undertake.
Baba Pritam Singh’s Ranjit Akhara can be found on facebook here. But he doesn’t have a massive ego and go around pumping himself as the ultimate last warrior. He is a humble Nihang Singh who encourages young people to learn shastarvidiya and do demonstrations to keep the art alive. Baba Pritam Singh also holds no animosity or superiority complex over Gatka and allows his students to freely practice according to the sangat present without making fun of people who do Gatka, but encouraging them.
So how can Nidar claim to be ninth Grand Master in line, and the only living practitioner of the art, when there is no clear line of succession and there are still existing students of Baba Giana Singh (8th generation) and their subsequent students who are ninth generation.
Who made Nidar the gurdev? and who gave him sole copyright over Shastarvidiya. How can he claim to be the last Master of this forgotten art when there are so many others. Nidar absolutely hates it if anyone else tries to teach shastarvidiya of any kind yet he cannot claim to be from Baba Giana Singhs lineage but at the same time not recognise his rightful descendants.
At least 10 other Nihang Singhs have gone in the last five years from USA, Canada, and India to train from these ustads. Baba Giani Singh (who learnt from Baba Giana Singh “Rabb JI”) who is alive said Nidar Singh has got hankar (EGO), as he met him once briefly at Hazur Sahib, and this inner-hankar has caused him to break away from the Khalsa Panth into Brahamanism.
According to indian Maryada it would be the oldest member of the akhara, or eraliest generation who would be a Gurdev of Shastar Vidiya so it seems that Baba Pritam Singh ji being the official Ranjit Akhara head is the actual, still living, 8th Generation Gurdev . Subsequently Baba pritam Singh’s students would be in line to be the next gurdev.
Surely anyone can now go to India learn from the Ranjit Akhara at Budha Dal and and be taught from direct descendants of Baba Giana Singh and set up legitimate Shastar Vidiya Akharas across the UK. I have heard that a few already have.
The truth is that Nidar’s version of events is mere fantasy, self aggrandizement and self-promotion. His earlier origin stories were akin to a 70’s Jackie Chan Kung Fu Movie. Its all a very clever marketing campaign.
NIdar is living off the name of nam japan valey, hath, tap, seva karan valey, bani paran valey, panth de mahan Brahmgianis and Gatka Ustads of the past, who have lived to serve the Panth. While this fraud serves his own belly and ego.
And what Nidar has done by hijacking shastarvidiya and claiming to be the sole owner is similar to the way Balbir has taken control of the Budha Dal and claimed jathedari for himself even though no jathedari was ever passed to him.
Even now Nidar has recently changed his website and diluted his own Snatan message due to the backlash he has received from the Sikh Community. Universally hated within the Sikh Community Nidar is known as the “Lost Sikh Warrior”.

JAB AAV KI AUDH NIDHAAN BANNEY – AT HEE RANN MEH TABH JOOJH MARRO
Someone has tied the stone-idol around his neck and someone has accepted Shiva as the Lord; someone considers the Lord within the temple or the mosque;
Someone calls him Ram or Krishna and someone believes in His incarnations, but my mind has forsaken all useless actions and has accepted only the One Creator.12.
If we consider Ram, the Lord as Unborn, then how did he take birth from the womb of Kaushalya ? He, who is said to be the KAL (destroyer) of KAL (death), then why did none become subjugated himself before KAL?
If he is called the Truth-incarnate, beyond enmity and opposition, then why did he become the charioteer of Arjuna ? O mind ! you only consider him the Lord God, whose Mysetry could not be known to anyone.13.
Krishna himself is considered the treasure of Grace, then why did the hunter shoot his arrow at him ? He has been described as redeeming the clans of others then he caused the destruction of his own clan;
He is said to be unborn and beginningless, then how did he come into the womb of Devaki ? He , who is considered without any father or mother, then why did he cause Vasudev to be called his father?14.
Why do you consider Shiva or Brahma as the Lord ? There is none amongst Ram, Krishna and Vishnu, who may be considered as the Lord of the Universe by you;
Relinquishing the One Lord, you remember many gods and goddesses; in this way you prove Shukdev, Prashar etc. as liars; all the so-called religions are hollow; I only accept the One Lord as the Providence.15.
Someone tells Brahma as the Lord-God and someone tells the same thing about Shiva; someone considers Vishnu as the hero of the universe and says that only on remembering him, all the sins will be destroyed;
O fool ! think about it a thousand times, all of them will leave you at the time of death, therefore, you should only meditate on Him, who is there in the present and who will also be there in future.16.

What exactly is a “self-proclaimed” martial arts master?
In my opinion, a self-proclaimed master is one who establishes their own independent criteria to declare their respective status within the martial arts community, usually at some sort of highly ranked level or teaching position. In some cases, they may have created a completely fictional background about themselves or even a fictitious martial art style. Often they claim some difficult if not impossible to authenticate training background.
More often, they simply obtain at least some credentials from others through various means. Often they will enter into mutual recognition arrangements with other like-minded persons. This usually works something like, “I will recognize and rank you at a high level in my style if you reciprocate and rank me in your style.” It provides them with a sense of external recognition and results in lots of new high dan rankings for both participants. Others quite frankly purchase martial arts rank certificates from unscrupulous individuals or organizations.
Why do people self proclaim themselves as masters?
I am not an expert on mental health, but I think it has a lot to do with fear and insecurity. I’ve noticed that many of the self-proclaimed masters I’ve met haven’t enjoyed much success in the other aspects of their lives. They often are employed at fairly simple occupations and frequently have a limited educational background. Their feelings of powerlessness and inadequacy are often the reason they were drawn to the martial arts in the beginning. For example, you hear them talking a lot about the dangers of today’s streets in nearly paranoid terms, as if we are likely to be assaulted at any moment or face attackers lurking around every corner.
The martial arts master presents a very powerful image, one who is capable of defeating all enemies and has incredible wisdom. This master is not intimidated by such opponents or modern technology. Since it is unlikely they could actually earn rank within the more traditional styles, they are left to create their own martial arts teaching credentials. To appear even more powerful, they often adopt titles associated with martial arts masters, such as soke and shihan, often to the point of absurdity. For the same reason, you find self-proclaimed martial arts masters have purchased diploma mill degrees or simply awarded themselves with educational credentials. Like martial arts ranks, the academic doctorate title represents a powerful icon to someone who feels inadequate.
There is one very well-known martial arts organization run by a self-proclaimed martial arts master who takes full advantage of these fears. For a fee, he will “register” individual applicants as sokes or founders of their own martial arts style, thus providing a sense of legitimacy and group recognition they often are seeking. In addition, he also offers various academic sounding degrees in “oriental philosophy” to members willing to pay for such nonsensical credentials. By doing so, he has not only addressed his own inner fears, but has obviously found a way to exploit the insecurities of others such as himself.

ADMIN – We all know Nidar Singh has openly critisised Sant Jarnail Singh Ji as a terrorist and fanatic – yet when you hear the voices of the Hindus who got a chance to spend some time with him you get a different story.
In an open interview that is going to shatter misconceptions, Dr. Subramaniam Swamy, who spent several days with Sant Bhindranwale inside the Darbar Sahib complex in 1984, talks in detail about Sant Bhindranwale’s personality and his mission. He also reveals some crucial facts about the whole operation which, according to him, was carried out by the Indian Government to halt the moral upliftment of the people of Punjab that Sant Bhindranwale was engaged in during early 1980s.
